Beautiful Curly Me
Beautiful Curly Me, is on a mission to support self-love and confidence in young black and brown girls through empowering toys and media. As a designer, I partnered with the team to create thoughtful illustrations and product designs for journals and picture books, ensuring every piece reflected the brand's visual identity and mission.
Imara Ballerina follows a young Black ballerina learning to embrace herself fully, gaining confidence and a sense of belonging within her world of dance. The story highlights self-love and representation in ballet.
Written by Zoe Oli, the young CEO of Beautiful Curly Me, Imara Ballerina was created to encourage girls to see themselves reflected in the stories they read and to dream boldly without limitations.
